Restoring The Understanding

Restoring the understanding of what Service Dogs (SD) and PsychiatricService Dogs (PSD) represent, is one of our most important priorities. Restore the understanding, the greater value is realized for both the public and the companies that serve them.

In today's U.S. society, it has become a common practice for pet owners to bring their dogs to airports, retail stores, medical offices, and practically any place the general public has access.

A Better Grasp

To get a better grasp, you need to realize that  Service Dog training can be as much as 2 years or more to be certified as being .  They have to be trained to go against their natural behavioral patterns and instead perform a specific task or tasks to assist their handler.  They don't bite, bark, or act aggressively towards another dog, person or animal.

Dedication Well Beyond Measure

It is important to realize that Service Dog has been individually trained to perform work or tasks to assist a person with a disability.  No matter how strong a challenge to face, they will be faithful and diligent to fulfill the needs of their handler.

When untrained pets or poorly trained service dogs are in public places, it has an terrible impact on people with disabilities. The trained service dogs they rely on are distracted by their animal instincts because of the behavior of the other dog.
Realizing The Truth

It is important to realize that Service Dog training can be as much as 2 years or more to be certified as being PublicSafe.  They have to be trained to go against their natural behavioral patterns and instead perform a specific task or tasks to assist their handler.  They don't bite, bark, or act aggressively towards another dog, person or animal. Pets wearing a Service Dog vest are nothing more than an emotional companion in comparison.

"It is important to understand that a "Service Dog" is trained to assist or accommodate a person with a disability and not be distracted; in accordance with city, state and federal laws."
